A rushed start before the registration deadline

When it's a time squeeze to just take the baby steps to set up the blog, it's not a good sign for being able to find time to do 22 More Things! *sigh*

Last year, at my library, we had a long-time teen volunteer give a presentation to staff about teens and technology (he developed this for a National Honor Society project). What will stay with me more than anything is that he said, in so many words, that digital natives don't have to even think about any technology--they just do it, live it, assimilate it--whereas "old people" like me (for the record, I really am still young) have to learn each new thing. It's an entirely different way in which our minds process new information.

And, funny thing (or not so), I did create a blog several years ago...and then promptly let it fall to the wayside. That's the big thing with me and technology. It's not that I don't have the interest or desire to learn 23 Things (I actually have done a lot more with technology than many of my friends and family), I just don't want to devote precious time to it, when life is so full!

But here I am, giving it some time! Let's see if this goes like most New Year's Resolutions...
